10 Things April fools taught me in 2009:

10 Things April fools taught me in 2009:

1. March has 31 days.

2. Don't try to pull a prank late at night when you're tired - You'll screw something up. (see number one).

3. Don't pull an April fools joke too early or too late (see number one, again) - people take you much more seriously. Who woulda thought?

4. Powerful, vibrant messages travel fast.

5. Dream big - As soon as I thought about the possibility of some of my dreams really coming true, they seemed so much closer. It really was a possibility, and there seemed to be a way to accomplish it.

6. Tell a lie, lie a little more - It's never okay to tell a lie, but April fools seems to fall in a slightly different category. Still, when you fool someone, you aren't being completely truthful. Once you start, it's easy to keep going.

7. Lies are easy - Telling a lie takes little to no effort, besides fighting off guilt. You don't have to have done all the hard work of graduating college, if you only say you did it. You also don't learn anything.

8. Good friends are valuable - The amount of support we would have had was astounding. Thanks. We love you.

9. People apparently really love New York - If we ever really move to NY, we'd love to have you visit us. You will just have to settle for Rexburg for now.

10. Good spouses support you - even when you're silly.

So to set it straight, we aren't moving to NY, we never were, I just suck at April fools pranks. I hope you can forgive me. I do hope to get some big production job though. So if someone with the right connections reads this, tell me where to sign.

Current songs I'm playing a little too loud

1. Jesse McCartney - How Do You Sleep?

This doesn't seem to be the same kid who used to walk down dreamstreat. He seems to have learned a few new words and found some new producers since his last album. I think it's working.

Kelly Clarkson - My Life Would Suck Without You

She had to release a song in the faster dance genre, and this seems to have been a great pick. It's a little quirky, and a little honest. Great match.

Taylor Swift - Love Story

The other day, I was in the grocery store, and this song came on. It was a subtle explosion of happiness. People started singing it, maybe even busting an accidental dance move. (I won't admit to either). But there's just something about this song. Another well written song from Taylor the swift.

David Archuleta - A Little Too Not Over You
Youtube Video
I'm betting David will always get a little nostalgic around this idol time of year. I don't know that you can say he's come a long way, but he has come some way. Now if we can just get some more people to listen to his progress.

Beyonce - Halo

I'm not always a fan of Beyonce. It's really hit or miss. This one is a hit.

Paramore - Decode

Paramore is a great band. I haven't seen twilight yet, but this music video makes me want to see it. Paramore is like cheese, good with almost anything.

Priscilla Ahn - Dream

This song is in Bride Wars and fits well. Priscilla has some other good tracks, she's a good one to check out. Such great imagery in this song.

Boyce Avenue - Disturbia (Cover)

If I had to pick a band that would be big soon, it would be (and should be) Boyce Avenue. I honestly didn't really like the original Disturbia, but I love this version. Boyce Avenue has done a cover of almost every song ever made (disclaimer: that's a complete lie). Check out their other covers and their original tracks.
